Health Canada Issues Recall For Baby Gates

Health Canada has issued a recall for more than 26,000 baby gates that were sold in the country.

The Bily® Retractable Safety Gate was recalled due to chemical hazard.

The health department says the coating applied on the metal tube of the gates contains excessive levels of barium.

Approximately 26,108 of the baby gates were sold from June to December 2019.

Health Canada says anyone who owns the product should immediately stop using it and contact Elfe Juvenile Products to request a repair kit.

Consumers may contact Elfe Juvenile Products toll free at 1-800-667-8184 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Time Monday to Friday or by email: service@elfe.ca.
