There are so many unique traditions that Nova Scotians share, but one of my favorites has to be the lobster trap or buoy Christmas trees that line the South Shore and appear across the whole province! I’m not sure who first started the trend, but it seems like every fishing community has one now—and they are amazing!

- Dennis Point (East Pubnico) – Dennis Point Wharf area.
- Wedgeport – Breakwater Wharf.

- Sandy Point – Sandy Point Lighthouse area.

South Shore

North Shore & Cape Breton
- Toney River (Pictou County) – Toney River Wharf.
- Wallace – Wallace Wharf area.
- Cheticamp – Waterfront near the fishing docks.
- Gabarus – Community wharf.
- North Sydney – Downtown waterfront park.
