Hockey Canada Names Selection Camp Roster For World Juniors

Twenty-nine of our country’s best junior hockey players will meet in New Brunswick this weekend.

They’ve been selected to take part in Team Canada’s selection camp for the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championship in Halifax and Moncton.

The most notable name, 17-year old superstar Connor Bedard, who won gold with Canada last summer.

The only Nova Scotian on the roster is Enfield’s Riley Kidney, who was also part of that gold-winning team. He plays for Acadie-Bathurst in the QMJHL.

Defenseman Evan Nause from Riverview, New Brunswick also got an invite.

Mooseheads forward Jordan Dumais has have a chance to represent his country at his home rink in Halifax if he can make the roster. He leads the QMJHL in points.

The final roster will be named on December 12th.
