HWY. 12 Car Crash Launched Passengers From Vehicle

An accident in Lunenburg County left three injured after their car left the road Wednesday evening.

Lunenburg District RCMP says the vehicle was traveling along Highway 12 when it left the road, overturned and collided with a tree head-on.

Police say three of the four passengers sustained serious injuries, and first reponders found two of the passengers had been ejected.

The three injured occupants were transported to hospital, while the fourth was cleared by EHS.

Several passersby stopped to assist those in the accident, including an off-duty nurse and off-duty RCMP officer.

Police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation, and no other information was given at this time.
