Yesterday while chatting with my son, I mentioned that I was getting kind of bored with playing or collecting videogames.
He suggested that I look into getting a new hobby. So I’ve been doing a lot of looking around at what interests me but I haven’t been able to come up with anything practical.
I like growing indoor plants but I have 3 cats and that would be a disaster.
I’ve already tried screen printing and pottery but both are way too messy. I found that I spent more time cleaning up afterwards than actually participating in the hobby.
I like collecting things and I’ve thought about getting old home computers – you know, the Vic-20, Commodore and Tandy CoCo early home computers but there are two obstacles – one is that you need a lot of space to display them properly, and the other is getting working tube monitors without spending a fortune.
I was reading about Eminem and Ed Sheeran collecting music cassettes. That seems kind of cool, but I already collected vinyl for years and sold most of my collection.
