Hard to believe, but I’ve never been stung by a bee. And this after helping a friend who had bee hives take care of them for a summer.
Sure, we wore some protective gear and used a smoker to keep the bees docile but we dealt with moving bee hives, with capturing the queen from a swarm, and removing the bees and taking their honey. Not one sting! I’ve even smeared honey on my bare arm and let the bees completely cover it as they reclaimed the honey.
Now wasps are a different story. As a teen I got multiple wasp stings on my neck and throat and that was a super uncomfortable place to be stung. But I’m sure there are worse places to be stung.
