Interest brewing for alcohol at N.S. convenience stores

Could we see liquor on convenience and grocery store shelves?

Interest is brewing in Nova Scotia, but the province has yet to dive in.

Finance minister John Lohr says it’s an idea they’d be willing to explore.

“Those have been very limited conversations. We do have requests on it but no decisions have been made, I’ve had one conversation about it,” said Lohr following cabinet meetings Thursday.

Lohr adds that alcohol revenue is important, and there’s increased interest in free trade across Canada.

“All stakeholders are important to us, any changes would not be done without extensive consultations.”
