My kids think “best before” is a Golden Rule and would never think of trying milk or other groceries once they’ve hit that date.
I take is as a guide. Everything gets a “sniff test” and if it smells good I consume it.
However, some things don’t have a “best before” date.
Take home sushi from a restaurant gets chucked the next day.
That’s one chance I’m not going to take.
