I saw a couple robins this morning. That was one of the birds I thought I might see over the weekend, but we somehow missed each other.
So I can add robins to my back yard bird list. Although that wasn’t really the purpose of my visit to the back yard this morning. I was just out for a little walk with the dog, checking out what might be growing. A few things have popped up in the past few days. Nice to see the rhubarb. Always one of my favourite early season treats.
There seems to be a few things growing I don’t remember. Or at least I’m not sure what was growing there. I asked the dog, but she doesn’t seem to remember either. Although really, if you can’t eat it and it’s not worth rolling in, she doesn’t seem to have much of any opinion.
She doesn’t really seem to have much of an opinion about anything. Except food and going for a walk. Those things seem pretty high on her list.
I’ve tried to talk to her about other things. She doesn’t seem to quite know how to respond.
But I have been talking to her more lately. She pays attention. She just doesn’t respond too often. But at least she’s a sympathetic listener, which we can all use from time to time.
