It looks like it is going to be a nice hot summer and what better way to spend it than at the beach?
Petit Riviere resident Johnathan Gregorash (Greg-or-ash), owns Swell Time Board Company, and he wants to see his love of surfing reach more people.
That’s why he pitched the idea for a free body board ride at Rissers Beach to the Awesome Foundation. The foundation gives away $1,000 a month to someone doing something awesome on the South Shore. If he wins he will use the money to buy body boards that will then be available to kids visiting the beach.
“I can’t wait to get to the beach this summer, maybe other people can’t either so maybe we can also have them have a fun time while they’re there,” he said.
Gregorash hopes that by providing more access to equipment it will foster a stronger interest in board sports whether it is on a surf board, body board or paddle board.
