Today’s the day! We can now travel between the Atlantic provinces with a few provisions – You need some identification like a driver’s license, health card or utility bill showing a valid address and in the case of Prince Edward Island you have to go online, print out a form and fill it out and bring it with you.
If you’re wondering about the Northumberland ferry to PEI, it’s running at 50 per cent capacity and has 6 round trips a day seven days a week. It’s an hour and 15 minute trip and leaves Caribou, N.S.: Mornings at 8 and 11:15 a.m., and afternoons and evenings at 1, 4, 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.
Also, you’re probably going to be seeing more American license plates on vehicles on our highways, but don’t freak out. I’ll bet 95 per cent of them are Canadians who are back from the states and returning home.
I’m not planning any Atlantic bubble trips yet, but that could change later this summer. How about you? Got a trip planned?
