There have been local spins on the classic Monopoly game for a number of years. Sydney, Cape Breton and Halifax both have their own versions of the classic board game. I think it’s time for the South Shore to get one!
Especially after noting that the Halifax version of the game states “a fun game celebrating the home of the Privateers” Sorry Halifax, that’s Liverpool’s claim to fame. You can’t have it!
Halifax Opoly celebrates peanut butter burgers, Spring Garden Road, Halifax Harbour and Citadel Hill.
So what landmarks and cultural icons should be on South Shore – Opoly? How about loose hamburger on fries, Moyle, (he can replace that guy in the top hat on Commuity Chest cards) Lunenburg Academy and the Lahave River? Perhaps you’ve got some suggestions for property names?
