One of my favourite signs of spring is when I step outside in the early morning darkness and hear the spring peepers.
I haven’t heard them yet. (I’m near the Lunenburg / Queens County line) but I’ve been getting reports of some people further down the shore in Yarmouth and Shelburne counties hearing them the last few days.
For such a tiny tree frog, they can make a big noise that can be heard up to a kilometre away.
