JetBlue nixes Halifax to Boston summer flight

You won’t be able to fly directly to Boston with JetBlue this summer.

The airline is pressing pause on launching the non-stop flight between Halifax and Boston, announced in January.

A spokesperson for JetBlue tells us in an email it is due to “softer-than-expected” travel demand this year as well as “economic uncertainty”.

“We know this change may be disappointing for those who had already booked travel, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. All impacted customers will receive full refunds.”

The airline also says they will evaluate the possibility of launching the service next summer.

The move comes amid political tensions with the United States.
