Kings RCMP lay attempted murder charge following early morning stabbing in New Minas

A charge of attempted murder has been levied following an incident in New Minas, where a 19-year-old Wolfville resident suffered stab wounds during a confrontation near Crescent Dr.

The victim’s upper body was injured, leading to hospitalization in New Minas and later transfer to Halifax.

The alleged assailant, a 41-year-old individual, voluntarily surrendered to the RCMP.

Charges include attempted murder and possession of a dangerous weapon.

The authorities have clarified that both parties were acquainted, and the situation was not a random event.
