LaHave Ferry shutting down for scheduled maintence

The LaHave River Cable Ferry will be shut down for an extended period of time as it undergoes scheduled maintenance.

The ferry is scheduled to be towed away on October 1, to a shipyard that will inspect and repair it. The work is projected to take 5-6 weeks, during which time there will be no ferry service.

This is the second shutdown of the ferry this year, with one taking place earlier this summer to replace the cable.

The cable replacement typically takes place every few years, wheres the maintenance of the ferry is done less frequently.

In the event their are any delays in the work and ferry service needs to be shut down longer updates will be posted on our website.
