LaHave Street Tim Hortons temporarily closed after car runs into building

The Tim Hortons on LaHave Street in Bridgewater is temporarily closed after a car crashed into the building.

The incident occurred early Thursday morning, though what led to the crash is still unknown. No one was injured in the crash.

The vehicle went through the building’s front window, leaving a large opening to the building.

Franchise owner Ian MacIssac says they have already contacted engineers to construct a temporary enclosure that meets health and safety standards. He is hopeful that work can be completed within the next two days at which time it will reopen.

Then down the line, a more permanent repair will be looked into to fully repair the damage.
