Lunenburg County Wheels now known as LC Wheels operates a pre-booked transportation service and has been undergoing some changes recently, most notably expanding it’s service area.
Previously LC Wheels only serviced the Town of Bridgewater within a 7-kilometer radius of the town, however this month they expanded their service area Northwest adding the communities of New Germany and Hemford.
LC Wheels also started charging fares recently which operator Daron Lantz indicated was necessary in the face of rising costs, however, the fares remain relativly low thanks to support from government partners and donations.
Later this year, LC Wheels plans to expand further Southwest adding communities like Petite Riviere, LaHave and Middlewood. Eventually, LC Wheels plans to service the entire western half of Lunenburg County.
