Liverpool Curling Rink receives $30k as part of provincial rink fund

The Liverpool Curling Club is set to receive more money from the provinces Rink Revitalization Fund.

They will receive $30,000 to improve the facility’s infrastructure and sustainability.

“Region of Queens Municipality received almost $10,000 from the fund earlier this year and I’m so pleased that our community will continue to benefit from this initiative with the investment into Liverpool Curling Club,” said MLA Masland. “These facilities play a big role in helping people socialize and stay physically active.”

The Liverpool Club is one of 25 facilities across the province that received over $1 million in funding for repairs and upgrades through the Rink Revitalization Fund’s second round.

Some of the projects receiving funding include purchasing a score clock, installing accessible entrance doors, upgrading refrigeration, foundation repairs and replacing rink board glass.
