Local youth will learn what it takes to become an elite athlete.
Olympian, Jenna Martin-Evans and her husband, CFLer DeQuin Evans, will be in Bridgewater this weekend to run a training camp.
Martin-Evans says while part of the focus is on the physical training, the personal stories she and her husband can share are just as important.
“It’s a way for us to give back to my community who’ve been so supportive during my career. We like to talk afterwards about our testimonies and to share our journey in our sport.”
This is the third year for the camp which will be held at HB Studios in Bridgewater starting at 3:00pm Saturday.
The free event is open to young athletes between the ages of 5 and 17.
