Lumberjacks GM Steps Down

The South Shore Lumberjacks have announced that general manager and coach Brogan Bailey will be stepping down effective immediately.

Assistant Coach Brad Tensik will take over coaching responsibilities on an interim basis until a replacement can be found.

The Jacks offered their thanks to Bailey for his years of commitment and they wish him all the best in the future.

Bailey joined the team in the Summer of 2020, he was hired by the previous ownership group following a successful campaign with the South Shore UPS Mustangs who finished atop the regular-season standings in 2019.

The move comes as the Jacks continue to struggle this season. The Jacks have only won four of their 22 games this season which leaves them in last place in the MHL Eastlink South Division.

The team fared slightly better during Bailey’s first season in charge finishing the season with a winning record (26-22-3-1), the team’s season ultimately ending in the second round of the playoffs.

Tensik’s first game in charge comes Thursday night as the Jacks welcome the Amherst Ramblers to town.
