Lumberjacks set for the start of wild round-robin MHL playoffs

The Maritime Hockey League’s round robin play in gets underway this evening.

Three games are on the slate including the South Shore Lumberjacks against the Wildcats in the Valley.

Every South Division team will play six round robin games with three on the road and three at home. Accumulated points will determine the playoff seedings.

Teams will earn three points for a regulation win, two points for an overtime victory, and one point for an overtime loss.

Yarmouth starts off with 4 points for finishing first during the regular season while Amherst has two points in the bank for a second place finish.

The Jacks and Cats meet this evening at 7 p.m. at the Apple Dome in Berwick.
