Lumberjacks stay undefeated with OT win over East Hants

The South Shore Lumberjacks remain undefeated after edging out the East Hants Penguins 2–1 in overtime on home ice Saturday night at the LCLC.

Marcus Tench scored the winner in extra time, sealing another close contest for the Jacks and extending their perfect start to the season.

Kyle MacIntyre notched the team’s other goal in regulation, while assists came from Evan Amirault, captain Leo MacLean, and Nate Pearson.

Goaltender Kegan Greencorn turned aside 38 shots and was named player of the game for a standout performance that kept the Jacks in contention through a tight defensive battle.

The Jacks remain in second in the NSJHL standings, still trailing East Hants who have played two extra games.

The team now heads back on the road, facing the Sackville Blazers on Monday, October 20, as they look to keep their momentum rolling.
