Lumberjacks win streak comes to an end, go 1-1 over weekend

The South Shore Lumberjacks are no longer undefeated, after falling in their Friday matchup against the Capstone Colts 11-3.

Prior to the loss the Jacks had rattled off nine wins to start their season, their best start to a season in recent memory.

The Jacks were able to return to winning ways on Saturday when they were on the road to face Pictou County. They picked up their 10th win of the season, winning 6-4.

They now sit second in the Fred Fox division of the NSJHL, trailing the East Hants Penguins by three points. The standings, however, have not been updated to include the Jacks win on Saturday, listing them as 9-1 when their actual record is now 10-1.
