Lunenburg Legion to operate as warming centre on trial basis

The Lunenburg Legion located on Duke Street will begin serving as a warming centre on January 29, operating Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

Throughout the trial phase, organizers aim to gather feedback on usage patterns, operational hours, and assess the overall impact of the centre on the community.

The initiative is being put on collaboratively by We Feed Lunenburg, the Legion, and the Intra-Church Food Bank.

During the trial phase, the facility will be open to anyone in need who wants to warm up a bit, needs a change of scenery of just wants to interact with some friendly faces for a few hours.

Hot and cold beverages along with a few snacks will also be available.
