Lunenburg looks to sell more land

The Town of Lunenburg is moving forward with plans to offload some of its real estate portfolio, most recently indicating they are looking to sell a plot of industrial land on Hall Street.

The proposed sale would see the existing lot split in two with the town planning to sell the larger portion of the division, and keep the smaller one.

The land the town is looking to keep is at the far end of Hall Street and does not currently have road access, however the portion they are looking to sell does have road access and is essentially ready for ground to be broken on any potential projects.

The town also says the land they intend to keep will also allow them to ensure compatible future development with frontage on Knickle Road.

Next steps include surveying for the subdivision plan, which is scheduled to take place in the fall. When this work is completed, the property can be listed on the open real estate market.
