Residents of Lunenburg will be under the lens this month.
The town will be the location for a television pilot called “Locke and Key”
Mayor Rachel Bailey says Lunenburg is well known in the film industry.
“There are a number of people who have ties locally here who are in the film industry. When they have opportunity to work close to their home, when Lunenburg fits the bill, they certainly give us due consideration.”
Bailey says some shooting locations will require intermittent stop and go traffic, but the production will be giving residents and businesses plenty of notice before hand.
“They’ve always been very considerate of that. We’ve rarely had much interruption from film even when it’s been very busy here, right in the heart of our busy season.”
The mayor says shooting is planned for King and Montague streets as well as on the waterfront.
Filming is expected to take place October 18 and 19.
