Lunenburg West schools receive maintenance upgrades

Students and staff in Lunenburg West are heading back to school with several much-needed building improvements in place.

The province spent more than $1.2 million for upgrades at three local schools: Bridgewater Elementary, Hebbville Academy, and Pentz Elementary.

The work focused on basic infrastructure — roofing repairs, paving, and site improvements — to make schools safer and more reliable for daily use.

Bridgewater Elementary and Hebbville Academy both received roof upgrades, while Pentz Elementary saw paving work done around the property.

Officials say the goal was to tackle much-needed maintenance projects, ensuring students have a safe well well-maintained school to learn in.
