Nathan MacKinnon and Colorado Avalanche Win Stanley Cup

Cole Harbour’s Nathan MacKinnon scored as the Colorado Avalanche beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 last night in Game 6 to win the Stanley Cup.

MacKinnon wins his first Cup in his ninth season, and it’s the first for Colorado since 2001.

Defenseman Cale Makar was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner as playoff MVP.

MacKinnon finished the postseason with 13 goals and 24 points in 20 games.

He’s expected to bring the Cup back to Cole Harbour for a parade, much like his friend Sidney Crosby has done in the past.
