Maine shooting suspect found dead

The suspect in Wednesday’s shooting rampage in Maine has been found dead.

Officials said late Friday that the body of Robert Card, 40, was found near the river in Lisbon Falls, about 15 kilometres from where the shootings took place.

Card was suspected of killing 18 people and injuring 13 others at a bowling alley and a restaurant in Lewiston.

The shooting and subsequent manhunt left residents in several communities on edge.

An armed and dangerous alert was also issued to law enforcement officers with the Canada Border Services Agency to be on the lookout for Card.
