A man who was the subject of an emergency alert was safely arrested.
RCMP issued the alert in areas of Colchester and East Hants late Friday night.
They were on scene in Rines Creek at Highway 212 as part of an ongoing investigation,
The alert was issued just before midnight, as police indicated they were looking for a man who could be armed wit ha firearm,
They said he was last seen running on foot from a motor vehicle crash on Highway 215, and asked those driving in the area not to pick up any hitch hikers
Just before 8 a.m. Saturday, the man was arrested.
Update (7:45 a.m.) : The man has been located and safely arrested. The RCMP would like thank the public for their cooperation.
