Man arrested after pointing BB gun in road rage incident: police

A 22-year-old man from Bible Hill is facing charges after allegedly pointing a BB gun at a driver in a road rage incident.

The RCMP says they got the call around 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Investigators learned that the suspect was driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI when he cut in front of the victim’s vehicle as both were travelling on Park Street in Bible Hill. A passenger in the victim’s vehicle then started videoing and captured the suspect when he pointed the BB gun at them out the front passenger window.

The suspect drove off, heading toward Truro.

Officers used the video to identify the man and just after 9 p.m. the RCMP found the car at a home on Ryland Avenue in Bible Hill, where they arrested the man and a woman. The woman was later released without charges. Police also seized the BB gun, which looks like a Glock 19.

The 22-year-old man faces multiple weapons charges and appeared in court on Monday before he was released on conditions.

The investigation continues.
