An update is expected on Cape Breton’s idled Donkin Mine.
According to a provincial release, Labour, Skills and Immigration Minister Jill Balser will provide an update on the safety file for the coal mine Wednesday afternoon (November 15).
A work stoppage has been in effect at Donkin since July following two rock falls.
Last Friday, Kameron Coal laid off the remaining staff and Morien Resources announced there was no timeline for operations to resume.
