MODL Launches Climate Plan Survey

The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is working on its Local Climate Change Action Plan and they are now seeking input from residents.

“The survey will help us understand public awareness about the climate change impacts on MODL, identify public support for the proposed draft actions, and solicit new ideas for actions to reduce the community emissions and build a sustainable and climate-resilient community,” says Mayor Carolyn Bolivar-Getson. “It’s also an opportunity for environmentally-minded residents to put their name forward to be part of a number of projects within the Action Plan.”

The survey takes about ten minutes to complete and it asks residents various things about climate change. Some questions ask how much people know about climate change while others focus on potential climate change initiatives the MODL is seeking input on.

The survey launched on Wednesday, December 15, and will remain open until February 28, 2022.

The MODL also plans to host community feedback sessions on the action plan in the coming months and dates will be released as they become available.
