Montreal Alouettes win Grey Cup in Hamilton

The Montreal Alouettes are the Grey Cup champions.

They defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 28-24 in Sunday night in Hamilton to win the 110th edition of the CFL’s championship game.

Montreal ended a 13-year drought, and sent Winnipeg to their second straight Grey Cup loss.

Cody Fajardo’s 19-yard touchdown pass to Tyson Philpot was the difference, as the Als came back to win.

Over 28,000 were at Tim Hortons Field for the game.

American rockers Green Day performed the halftime show.
