Most Iran Plane Crash Victims Were Heading To Canada

By Allan Dearing

Most victims aboard a Ukrainian International Airlines crash near Tehran were on their way to Canada according to the prime minister.

Justin Trudeau expressed his condolences to the families of the 63 Canadians who were among the 176 passengers and crew who died.

“All people who won’t be coming home to their parents, their friends, their colleagues or their family. A newlywed couple, a family of four, a mom and her two daughters, bright students and dedicated faculty members, ‘ he noted.

Trudeau said Canadians deserve answers but added it’s too soon to speculate about what caused the crash and whether the jet may have been shot down.

The Boeing 737-800 crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran on its way to Kiev where 138 passengers had connecting flights to Toronto.
