Update: Highway 103 reopens near East River following colision

A section of Highway 103 was closed temporarily on Thursday morning due to a collision.

According to RCMP, the collision took place around 10:30 a.m., near Exit 7 which services East River and surrounding communities.

The closure only lasted about an hour, with Highway 103 fully reopening at 11:30 a.m.

Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene to respond to injuries, though details on how many vehicles or people were involved in the collision have not been confirmed.

During the closure motorists were detoured onto Highway 3.
