#MuchMusicMemories was trending on social media this week thanks to a tweet from Ed the Sock asking what was your favourite Much Music memory?
Although I met Erica Ehm at a barbecue one summer my favourite memory was simply, the videos.
I was a teen pre-video, so the concept of a radio station on tv playing music videos was exciting to me.
Sure they had some great shows and features like Speakers Corner, Video On Trial (so cruel!) and Pop Up Video but the real draw for me was simply the music videos.
Why the MTV’s, Much Music channels and CMT stopped playing music videos is still a question I have that has never been answered.
