Multiple structure fires in Cape Breton, including Morrison School forcing evacuations

Multiple structure fires in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, including a major blaze at the former Morrison School site, forcing evacuations.

According to John White, MLA for Glace Bay-Dominion, they happened throughout the early morning hours on Thursday.

Details remain few, but White says emergency crews — some of whom have been battling fires for over nine hours — are at the school site.

No word on the cause or any injuries.
