Municipality of Barrington Seeks Budget Input

A public feedback session is scheduled later this month in Barrington.

Council has scheduled an informal workshop on ideas for the 2017-2018 municipal budget.

It will take place on January 24th from 7-9pm inside the council chambers on Highway 3.

CAO Rob Frost says the budget won’t change too much from last year.

“Last year our budget was a little over $8 million, we suspect it will be similar this year. We hope to see a lot of people out to come and give some feedback and have some good discussions about the municipality.”

Frost says they will be looking for ideas from residents on setting a positive path for the future.

He adds council will be looking at significant projects over the next few years, including sewer expansion and possible building replacements.
