Municipality of Chester cancels August council meetings

The Municipality of Chester (MOC) has canceled the remaining council meetings for the month of August.

MOC Communications Officer Jennifer Webber says council opted to cancel the remaining meetings due to a lack of a municipal business to discuss.

The cancelation will impact two scheduled meetings, a normal Council meeting on August 11, and a Committee of the Whole meeting on August 18.

Webber says the council expressed they are willing to meet in the event something urgent arises, or

Residents can still make arrangements for public presentations, or for an appointment to address Council in person, which can be done by contacting Municipal Clerk, Pam Myra.

The next meeting of the MOC council is now scheduled to take place on September 1.
