Municipality of Chester Open For Business

MOC municipal offices reopened to the public yesterday, and staff say it’s good to be back.

“It is certainly good to see colleagues again and citizens showing up at our municipal offices,” said Dan McDougall, CAO for the municipality.

The financial transactions counter is now open for business although many counter services are still by appointment only. Approximately 40 people came in to pay their business tax bills.

Health and safety measures are in place to ensure staff and visitor safety including Plexiglas shields at the transaction counters, floor stickers to mark social distancing and hygiene measures said McDougall.

“We seem to be managing quite well and are mindful of the importance of continuing to practice safe distancing,” he said.
