Municipality of Shelburne releases housing needs survey results

A new survey says people in Shelburne County are worried about housing.

The Municipality of Shelburne released the survey in the spring and got 175 responses.

Over half say they are, or know someone who is at risk of homelessness.

Seventy-six percent say they’re finding it difficult to meet their financial needs.

The biggest challenge to finding suitable housing is affordability, followed by a proximity to work.

The results have been shared with the province.
