Mustangs Open Exhibition Play With ‘W’ Over Valley

Gage Zwicker scored twice and Lawson Cook added a goal and three assists as the UPS Store South Shore Mustangs defeated the Valley Wildcats 5-1.

Luke Woodworth and Konnor Benjamin also scored.

Head Coach, Brogan Bailey, says it’s early in training camp and he knows the Wildcats will look different once the regular season starts.

“It’s hard to look at the victory as a good win but there are lots of good things that you can take from it when you look at our team and where we are at in the process right now. I was pretty happy, all in all.”

Bailey says he doesn’t expect to make any cuts this week as several Mustang players attend Junior ‘A’ training camps.

Elsewhere, the South Shore Major Bantam Lumberjacks defeated Valley 2-1 Sunday in exhibition play in Bridgewater.
