The province is excited about bioinnovation.
The new Neptune centre in Dartmouth has opened, and is projected to create more than 2,400 jobs and $74 million in tax-revenue.
It focuses on the province’s domestic supply chain and advancements in bioplastics, functional food and the green supply chain.
Growth and Development minister Colton LeBlanc says it’s a gamechanger, and will attract the best and brightest minds to the province.
The government is giving $5 million to transform the 51,000 square foot facility into state of the art labs.
The centre is the first of its kind in Canada, and one of three in the world.
