The province says preventing a power rate increase was a highlight of the fall sitting of the Nova Scotia Legislature.
The P.C. government says holding telecommunications companies accountable for outages and changes to how public housing is managed were other key areas of success.
Opposition leader Zach Churchill says the Premier Tim Houston missed the mark on healthcare and the cost-of-living.
“We now have 120,000 Nova Scotians without a family doctor. 50,000 have been added to the ‘Need a Family Doctor’ waitlist over the last year alone,” says Churchill.
He says the Liberals will continue to press government on these issues, as we head toward a recession.
“Houston does not have a plan to help steer our economy through that, and people are going to suffer more and more as inflation goes up.”
Houston says the government is focused on increasing accountability, driving economic growth and supporting businesses to grow and prosper.
