New Brunswick is tempting us to come to their fair province for a staycation – those staying at least one night in the province between May 27 and Oct. 31 get to claim a 20 per cent rebate on up to $1,000 in eligible expenses like accommodations, food and drinks, activities and travel. That could be a savings of 200 bucks back in a rebate!
I hope that our province comes up with something similar to entice Atlantic Canadians to come visit here, so the local businesses can stay profitable this summer!
For me, I’m staying close to home this summer and spending my money on local businesses.
Two hundred dollar rebates aren’t enough to sway me from supporting and keeping local stores afloat through 2021.
Besides, just staying local will probably save me the 200 in gas I would have spent to get around New Brunswick.
There’s nothing wrong with New Brunswick , it’s a beautiful province with wonderful things to see.
However I have no relations to visit in that province.
But you might be in a different situation.
Will you be heading up the road to New Brunswick or staying in Nova Scotia?
