New Kejimkujik campsite booking system starts Wednesday morning

Kejimkujik National Park campground reservations open Wednesday at 8 a.m., with a change in how bookings are handled.

Parks Canada is removing the queuing system used in previous years, meaning reservations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

At 8 a.m., users can select campsites and add them to their cart without needing to refresh the page. However, they must click “Reserve” at 8 a.m. to secure the site. Once a campsite is placed in a cart, it becomes unavailable to others and will be held for 20 minutes while the user completes the booking.

Parks Canada advises campers to prepare ahead of time by setting up or verifying their online accounts before Wednesday. They also recommend having backup options in case preferred sites are unavailable.

More details and access to the booking portal can be found on the Parks Canada website.
