No Cheese Please

A woman has taken to social media to share how she ended up walking out on her date because he didn’t want to spend an extra $3 to have a slice of cheese on his burger
Dafna Diamant from New York met up with a man she’d been speaking to on a dating app for a dinner date. Things were going well, she ordered the italian fish dinner, he ordered a burger
and when asked by the server whether he wanted extra cheese added to his burger, he said no thanks after asking how much it would cost.
Deciding she’d seen enough, she ate her meal and made an excuse to leave the table, saying ‘I’m going to the restroom for a second’, and she took her purse and went to the waitress and just paid the bill and walked out of the restaurant.
She texted him ‘The cheque is taken care of, you should have got the cheese’, and then she blocked him.

Now, I would have said no to a $3 slice of cheese, too.

But I can also see her point that it was a red flag for her that he was frugal, especially if she isn’t. It could have been a major problem if they continued the relationship.

However, I think she handled it poorly by walking out (even if she did pay for the meal) because they could have had a conversation about how they were raised and what each would consider too expensive or frivolous.

What is your take on this?
