BPS close investigation into body recovered from LaHave, suspicious circumstances ruled out

Bridgewater Police have closed their investigation into the body they recovered from a submerged vehicle in the LaHave River earlier this month.

During the recovery of the vehicle, police determined there was no evidence of mechanical failure.

The province’s medical examiner also found no signs that the deceased experienced a medical emergency that would have caused them to lose control of their vehicle. They also ruled out foul play.

With those causes ruled out police do not believe this death to be suspicious and as such have closed their investigation.

The Bridgewater Police Service also offered their condolences to the deceased’s family and asked that the public respect their desire for privacy at this time.
